Hi 12 August 2010 Two men have been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences in County Durham after police seized five kilos of cannabis. Officers stopped a Volkswagen Polo car in Sherburn Village, on the outskirts of Durham City, at about 2130 BST on Wednesday night. Hi Thursday 12th August 2010 A KENDAL man has been warned he could be sent to prison after being caught with drugs. Keiran George, 20, of Nether Street, was due to be sentenced at Carlisle Crown Court having pleading guilty to possessing cannabis bush. But the hearing was adjourned because probation officers had not been able to prepare a pre-sentence report since George had missed an appointment with them. His barrister Alison Whalley said the report would be useful because it would look at how George had been affected by the death of his sister and ill treatment by his father. Hi August 12, 2010 Cannabis worth thousands of pounds has been seized following raids on two houses in Middleton. More than 100 plants and cultivation equipment were found in a bedroom at a house on Elmbank Road at 5.30pm on Wednesday. Hi It's been revealed drugs are being smuggled into Jersey's Prison, by hiding them in the bodies of dead birds. Hi 12 August 2010 About 150 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of 200,000 have been seized in a Nottinghamshire village. The discovery was made in the cellar of a rented property near Great Lake in Norton on Wednesday night. Growing equipment worth about 100,000 was also seized and is due to be destroyed.
