Keiran George, 20, of Nether Street, was due to be sentenced at Carlisle Crown Court having pleading guilty to possessing cannabis bush. Hi August 12, 2010 Cannabis worth thousands of pounds has been seized following raids on two houses in Middleton. More than 100 plants and cultivation equipment were found in a bedroom at a house on Elmbank Road at 5.30pm on Wednesday. Hi It's been revealed drugs are being smuggled into Jersey's Prison, by hiding them in the bodies of dead birds. It's thought drugs like valium and cannabis have been concealed in the birds, then thrown over the perimeter fence to potentially be sold onto inmates.
