UK : Cannabis factory found in empty Nuneaton house

Hi Aug 12 2010 POLICE are hunting a burglar who broke into an empty house in Nuneaton and created a cannabis factory. The owner of the house in Ivanhoe Avenue raised the alarm when he discovered the illegal plants being grown at the property on Monday. The owner contacted police and officers seized hydroponics equipment and about 40 plants. 1.2m cannabis seizure

Hi Thursday, 12 August 2010 Three men are being questioned following the seizure of 100kg of herbal cannabis worth over 1.2m in Co Dublin last night. Officers raided a yard in Ballyboughal as the drugs were being loaded from one van into another. Three men, aged 44, 28 and 24, were arrested at the scene and are being questioned at Ballymun and Finglas garda stations. The seizure was part of a Garda National Drugs Unit operation backed up by the Organised Crime Unit. Garda said the drugs were being trafficked by a Dublin criminal gang, which has been a target of the Garda National Drugs Unit for some time. Ear Bongme

UK : Cannabis plants found in Littleborough raids

Hi 12/08/2010 A number of cannabis plants have been found in a raid on two houses in Littleborough. On Tuesday 27 July 2010, police from the Pennine Neighbourhood Team raided a house on Hare Hill Road and a house on Todmorden Road. At the Hare Hill Road address 30 cannabis plants were found, with an estimated value of 10,000. An amount of amphetamine was also discovered. Nearly 4000 in cash was found at the Todmorden Road address along with three snap bags believed to contain cannabis. A 34-year-old man from Littleborough was arrested on suspicion of Cultivate cannabis and Possession of Class B controlled drugs and has been bailed until 27 October 2010 pending...

Hi 12 August 2010 By Unknown A boy aged 13 has been charged with cultivating cannabis at a home in Northampton following a police raid. The Chronicle & Echo reported yesterday that the latest Operation Guardian raids in Pilston Close, Rectory Farm, Northampton, on Tuesday saw two people arrested and hundreds of cannabis plants seized. Police revealed yesterday there were 350 plants and the pair were a 24-year-old woman and a 13-year-old boy, both believed to be from Vietnam. The officers noticed the pungent smell as they walked along Armley Park Road, Armley, last October. Five people were arrested during the police operation, which recovered drugs and suspected stolen goods from the homes of known dealers.
