Hi 10 August 2010 Five cannabis farms were shut down as police swooped on homes in West Yorkshire. yesterday. Suspected drug dealers in Wakefield, Normanton, Featherstone, Rothwell and Honley were targeted during the dawn raids, in which drugs, cash and vehicles were seized. The raids were part of the latest phase of Operation Grassland, which has seen scores of dealers arrested and brought before the courts. Yesterday's operation netted seven arrests six men and one woman in connection with the production of cannabis. Hi heraldscotland staff 10 Aug 2010 A man was yesterday found guilty of supplying cannabis after he was caught with 300,000 worth of the drug. Police officers caught Mark Shum, 62, with the drug when they pulled over his Peugeot car on the A90 Dundee to Aberdeen road following a tip-off. Shum had two suitcases in the car containing a combined total of almost 45kg of cannabis which the High Court in Edinburgh heard could reach a maximum street value of 300,000. Hi Opinion by NORML It’s been a hectic first week at the Oregon NORML World Famous Cannabis Caf . Last Saturday, the grand re-opening featured a barbecue out in the sun in the parking lot. "After three years of on-going court proceedings, police saw the light and dropped the three remaining charges against me: two of possession of cannabis seeds and one of smoking a joint in public," Dakta Green said today. Hi 9 August 2010 A 62-year-old man has been found guilty of supplying herbal cannabis with a maximum street value of about 300,000. Mark Shum, from Aberdeen, was caught with 45kg of the drug in suitcases when police stopped his car on the A90 Dundee to Aberdeen road last year. Hi By NBC BAY AREA A convention on cannabis, the first ever in the South Bay, brought thousands of people to the San Jose Convention Center over the weekend. HempCon 2010 featured vendors and informational booths on everything from medical marijuana's benefits to growing options. There was information about medical marijuana, places set up to explain the current laws and booths aimed at pushing Prop 19 -- the November ballot issue to legalize pot for recreational purposes.
